B.Tech. Ed. in Information Technology

The Bachelor of Technical Education in Information Technology (B.Tech. Ed. IT) is a KU-affiliated four-year undergraduate program designed to produce qualified EdTech professionals, including instructors and curriculum developers, in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Dual Degree Option: BIT (Top-Up)

A unique feature of the program is the dual-degree pathway. Students may choose to pursue an additional Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) by studying advanced IT-based courses for an additional six months to one year (optional).

SCcST is affiliated with Kathmandu University (KU) through Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) for the B.Tech. Ed. IT program, and through the KU School of Engineering for the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) program. These affiliations ensure that curriculum design, teaching methodologies, and assessment systems follow KU’s quality framework and academic benchmarks.

Academic monitoring, curriculum, and assessment are guided by the respective KU schools (KUSOED and the School of Engineering), while SCcST manages infrastructure, faculty support, and student services. This partnership strengthens credibility, consistency, and academic recognition for learners.
